Our Campus and Facilities

Our Buildings

The Lycée International de Londres Winston Churchill occupies the site of the former Brent Town Hall, which is a magnificent Grade II-listed building completed in 1937 in the late Art Deco style.  The building was acquired from Brent Council by the French Education Charitable Trust in 2012.

Our campus is set over five acres, with 12,000 square metres of refurbished and purpose-built buildings designed to serve the needs of our students. Our spacious and light-filled classrooms are outfitted with video projectors and Apple TV, and WiFi is accessible from everywhere through a dedicated, private server accessible only to our staff and students.

All the science, arts, and technology rooms are located in the purpose-built Annex, which boasts the most modern learning equipment, as well as the canteen. The vast indoor gym (Paul Daisley Hall) and three outdoors sports courts complete our sports areas. Our buildings are surrounded by green spaces and this natural environment provides a wonderful experience during playtime and outdoor “Forest School” lessons.

All of our spaces are fully accessible through ramps and elevators in line with our goal of inclusiveness and accessibility. We invite you to click here to embark on a virtual video-tour of our facilities.

OUR SPACES

Weblibrary

Our bright and modern Web-Library encourages students to read, explore and investigate.

Sports Pitches

We have three outdoor sports courts and five acres (20,000 square metres) of outdoor space. Just five minutes walk from the school is Fryent Park (covering 103 hectares) where we host our annual Sports Day.

Sports Hall

Our sports hall is marked out for badminton, basketball and indoor tennis. It doubles as a function space complete with a stage.

Music Room

Our music room is fully equipped for even the most demanding musician.

Council Chamber

Our building also includes the former Brent Town hall Council Chamber which has been equipped with state of the art audio visual equipment which we use for assemblies, performances and meetings.

Science Labs

Our fully equipped science labs are bright, airy spaces equipped to deliver the curriculum at its best.

Canteen

Our canteen is part of our new, purpose built area of the school and we serve a hot, three-course lunch every day. Lunchtime is a time when we can all socialise and meet up over great food in our large canteen.

Outdoor Learning

Our campus sits on five green acres, which is a real luxury just two stops from Baker Street in central London. Our young learners benefit from our on site Forest School programme and all older students benefit from modern outdoor facilities such as our Multi Use Games Area (MUGA). We believe that our students’ access to nature reduces anxiety, and increases creativity.

A SUSTAINABLE LEARNING SPACE

Governors, staff and students collaborate to achieve our Net Zero target by 2030. Our Green Committee, driven by students, was formed in 2017-2018 and our Green Symposium was born out of the COP26 summit in 2021. We believe in educating the next generation to think critically on how to tackle climate change, a global priority and support them to set the Agenda to make a difference.
