Our Campus and Facilities
The Lycée International de Londres Winston Churchill is located on the historic site of the former Brent Town Hall, a stunning Grade II-listed building completed in 1937 in the late Art Deco style. This building was acquired from Brent Council by the French Education Charitable Trust in 2012.
Our campus spans five acres, featuring 12,000 square metres of refurbished and purpose-built buildings designed to meet the needs of our students. The spacious, light-filled classrooms are equipped with video projectors and Apple TV. WiFi is accessible throughout the campus via a dedicated private server for staff and students.
The purpose-built Annex houses modern Science, Arts, and Technology rooms, along with the canteen. Sports facilities include the expansive indoor gym (Paul Daisley Hall) and three outdoor sports courts. Our buildings are surrounded by green spaces, offering a beautiful natural environment for playtime and outdoor “Forest School” lessons.
All of our spaces are fully accessible with ramps and elevators, aligning with our commitment to inclusiveness and accessibility. We invite you to embark on a virtual video tour of our facilities.

Council Chamber
Our building also includes the former Brent Town Hall Council Chamber which has been equipped with state of the art audio visual equipment which we use for assemblies, performances and meetings.

Our fully equipped Science labs are bright, airy spaces equipped to deliver the curriculum at its best.
Canteen
Our canteen is part of our new, purpose-built area of the school and we serve a hot, three-course lunch every day. Lunchtime is a time when we can all socialise and meet up over great food in our large canteen.
Outdoor Learning
Our campus covers five green acres just two stops from Baker Street in central London. Young learners enjoy our on-site Forest School programme, while older students benefit from modern outdoor facilities such as the Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA). We believe that access to nature reduces anxiety and boosts creativity.
Commitment to Sustainability
Our student-driven Green Committee was formed in the 2017-2018 school year, reflecting our commitment to sustainability. In 2021, inspired by the COP26 summit, we launched the Green Symposium. We are dedicated to educating the next generation to think critically about climate change and empowering them to make a difference.
We educate students to remove food waste, eliminate unnecessary emissions, and to think about green solutions. We collaborate with ReFood who uses the UK’s most advanced Anaerobic Digestion technology to provide an end-to-end recycling process that creates renewable energy and fertiliser from our food waste.
The Green Committee meets with our Caterers to discuss how this area of the school can support our Net Zero target. At least one day every week is meat-free at our award-winning canteen.
We partner with Wybone who produce our recycling bins. We chose this company due to their sustainable mission to use innovative methods to reduce their carbon footprint and their impact on the environment.
The school provides a number of special bins in which to dispose of batteries safely and all kitchens include food waste recycling bins and general recycling bins.
The Green Committee has been campaigning to educate their peers on single-use plastics.
All staff are given a reusable hot drinks cup when they join the school so all single-use coffee cups have been removed from kitchens and staffrooms.
We have earned the Eco Green Flag for 2021-2024 thanks to all our green efforts.
Over 100 solar panels are fitted to the roof of the Legacy building (old Brent Town Hall) and these generate over 60% of our daily power usage.
Smart LED lights are used school-wide. They work out how much natural light streams in through our large windows and brighten or dim accordingly. All our lights also have sensors and switch off automatically after a short period of time.
Smart meters have been fitted to measure our electricity and gas so we can act accordingly. The smart building management system which talks to the meters and allows us to see where we can reduce energy consumption.
The Primary Gardening Club collaborates with our Gardener and teachers to learn about plants and flowers and we have Forest School on our campus for our younger students.
